NTT provides strategic grants to grassroots organizations, community groups, and civil society actors to strengthen their capacity and impact. Our grantmaking focuses on initiatives that promote human rights, peace, social justice, and inclusive development. Beyond funding, we offer technical support, mentorship, and guidance to help partners design effective programs, scale solutions, and achieve lasting change in their communities.
NTT fosters informed public dialogue on human rights, peace, and social justice in Sri Lanka. Through research, policy analysis, and advocacy, we generate evidence-based insights and create platforms for diverse voices to engage in meaningful conversation. Our work strengthens democratic debate, shapes policy, and promotes a more inclusive and accountable society.
We support work that ensure all people, especially marginalised communities, have equitable access to economic resources, opportunities, and protections. We support initiatives that promote gender justice by challenging structural inequalities, amplifying women’s and LGBTQ+ voices, and supporting inclusive policy and practice. By supporting advocacy, legal empowerment, and community-driven interventions, we contribute to strengthen access to justice and legal remedies, enabling communities to claim their rights and shape the systems that affect their lives.
We support programs that strengthen civic engagement, democratic participation, and accountability. Our grantmaking prioritises initiatives that enable communities to shape policies, hold institutions responsible, and ensure that public systems serve all people equitably.
We support work that promote inclusive health and care initiatives that prioritise the needs of marginalised communities. We support projects advancing disability rights, equitable access to health service – including psychosocial support, and community driven approaches to care that respect human dignity and human rights.
We support work that foster social cohesion, dialogue, and inclusive knowledge sharing. Our grantmaking supports community led storytelling, research, and initiatives that challenge dominant narratives, elevate local voices, and nurture understanding across diverse groups.
We support responsive, forward looking initiatives that tackle emerging social, political, and environmental challenges. Our grants encourage collaboration, movement-building, and solidarity networks that empower communities to act collectively and lead change.
